Unstoppable.

Audacious.

Confident.

Driven.

Fierce.

When you read those words, what type of person did you immediately think of? Was it a woman or girl by any chance?

I’ve met some amazing women and young girls that fit every one of these adjectives! Did someone tell them along the way that they could do and be anything they wanted to be?

Yehuda Berg said, “Words have energy and power with the ability to help, to heal, to hinder, to hurt, to harm, to humiliate and to humble.”

You see, words matter and can make a huge difference in whether young girls and women feel empowered or belittled, confident or weak, happy or sad.

Words, whether it’s self-talk or spoken aloud, help us speak ourselves into being what we hope, or know, we will become.

So together, let’s think about how we’re speaking to ourselves and to our younger generation, girls AND boys, on a daily basis…on an hourly basis. Empowering words will help us all move toward developing and maintaining a positive sense of self-worth, value and confidence.

I think that’s a fiercely powerful way to live an engaging and fulfilled life!

(See how I used my words there?)
